Roasted Chickpeas

Serves 4

  • 1 15 oz can chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt, to taste
  • garlic powder, to taste (optional)

Drain and rinse the chickpeas, and pour them into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan, so that they form a single layer. Toss them with the olive oil.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, stirring once or twice, until they are golden brown and very crunchy.

Sprinkle with salt and garlic powder, if desired.

These make a nice fasting treat, and are higher in protein than chips or popcorn!
